This upcoming week is FULL of opportunities all around the county to meet with fellow conservatives, be part of the discussion of what we stand for, and find out how you can get involved. We hope to see you at some of the following events!

The new Hialeah - Miami Lakes Republican Club meets Monday, October 17 from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm at Shula's Steak 2, which is located at 6842 Main Street in Hialeah.

Guests will include SunPAC co-founder Jeb Bush, Jr., Florida Director of the Heartland Institute Christian Camara, and (yours truly) Bradley Gerber, President of the Miami Young Republicans.

The event features happy hour from 6:30 - 7:30 and the business of the meeting at 7:30. Many of the founders of this new club are also active members of our YRs!

Tuesday, Oct. 18 our friends at the Old Cutler Republican Women's Club meet again. It's a lunch meeting, from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. They will meet at the Red Lobster across from The Falls (705 S.W. 136 Street). Special guest will be Rep. Michael Bileca. The meeting is open for everybody. Try the cheddar biscuits!

The Young Professionals Network, an organization of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a discussion on "The Business of Politics" on Thursday, October 20 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Topics to be addressed include the role and impact of money in politics, effective engagement with elected officials, developing public policy, voter registration and electoral process, and the impact of politics on business goals and operations.

Panelists will include:

* Bradley Gerber, 14th President, Miami Young Republicans (him again!)
* Cedric McMinn, Executive Director, Miami-Dade Democratic Party
* Commissioner Rose Tydus, City of Opa-Locka
* Todd Michaels, Associate for the Haggard Law Firm
* Crystal Connor, Partner with Tyson, Strong, Hill and Connor LLP.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 25 at The Globe Bar & Restaurant in Coral Gables. As usual we'll begin with a happy hour at 6:30 and the meeting at 7:30. We're working on the details of the meeting, it should be another great one. As a reminder, our meetings are always open fro Republicans of all ages!
