STOP ADVERSARIAL FOREIGN INFLUENCE
Threats from foreign nations
HB 925 by Redondo
Mandating that individuals acting as agents of adversarial nations or foreign terrorist organizations register with the Florida Attorney General.
Controlling Business Interests by Persons with Ties to Foreign Countries of Concern
CS/SB 768 by Calatayud
Strengthens healthcare provider licensure requirements by prohibiting entities with a "controlling interest" from having business ties with specified "foreign countries of concern" (China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Syria).
Online Sellers from Foreign Countries of Concern
HB 1023 by Borrero
Requires online marketplaces to disclose seller locations from designated "foreign countries of concern" (e.g. China, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela)
ENHANCE VETERANS BENEFITS
Retirement Credit for Military Service
HB 965 by Holcomb
Expands retirement credit eligibility for military service, updates the definition of "veteran" to include recent wartime periods, and requires DMS to adopt new rules.
PROTECT CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Materials Harmful to Minors Protection Act
HB 1539 by Bankson & SB 1692 BY McClain
Tightens restrictions on instructional materials by refining the definition of content "harmful to minors," increasing parental oversight, and enforcing stricter standards on sexually explicit content in Florida schools.
Spectrum Alert
HB 711 by Borrero
Requires FDLE, in cooperation with specified agencies, to establish & implement Spectrum Alert; develop training program & alert system for missing children with autism spectrum disorder.
IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY
Violation of State Immigration Law
HB 1491 by Jacques
Requires FDLE to impose fines for state immigration law violations, defines “unauthorized alien,” creates a cause of action against certain local entities, allows compensation for eligible residents, and waives sovereign immunity under specified conditions.
INCREASE AEROSPACE INNOVATION
Aerospace Innovation Funding
HB 793 by Kendall
Establishes the International Aerospace Innovation Fund to accelerate global aerospace innovation through collaborative R&D projects, workforce development, and commercialization efforts, supporting Space Florida’s international partnerships and maintaining Florida's leadership in the aerospace sector.
